Country Jet Set Tour is seven days of music in seven cities. On day three we caught up with Randy Houser in Charleston, South Carolina, where he talked about songwriting, his career turnaround and his latest single “Goodnight Kiss.”
“To me, I’ve never really placed much of an importance on genre or typifying anything,” he said. “I really try to honor the process and work from that place.”
“I build my own shakers for drum sets so I’ll use a tomato paste can as a really nice shaker,” he said. “I had all these lids everywhere so I’m just problem solving,” drummer Jano Rix said.
