Celebrating The Beatles on Ed Sullivan 50 Years Later, With a Little Help From Reunited Eurythmics, Perry, Grohl & Wonder
Following Sunday’s GRAMMYs, an all-star cast of characters paid tribute to The Beatles’ Ed Sullivan debut 50 years ago, for a TV special to air on the exact anniversary.
For one night only, Annie Lennox and Dave Stewart will share the stage in honor of The Beatles first performance on ‘The Ed Sullivan Show.’
Newly announced performers include: Sara Bareilles, P!nk, will.i.am, Miguel, Alicia Keys, Sugarland’s Jennifer Nettles, Train, Martina McBride, Jakob Dylan, Darlene Love, Amy Grant, Gloria Estefan, and many more.
With Alicia Keys’ new song “Queen of the Field” off the ’12 Years a Slave’ soundtrack she sings about the struggle of one particular female slave.
The soundtrack will also feature Alabama Shakes, Laura Mvula, Guy Clark Jr. and more.
“They’re all about how you transform rocking on the street to whatever it is that you might be doing later in the evening,” Keys said.
“I’m so proud to join these incredible artists as we come together through our music in support of The Global Poverty Project,” Alicia Keys said.
