In August, Nike announced an upcoming collaboration with Kendrick Lamar to bring his Damn. good style to the masses.
“Kendrick has an authentic, genuine love of Nike and we’re looking forward to partnering with him on some exciting projects,” the company said. Now Kendrick has unveiled his first collaboration with the sportswear company and it’s a pair of red-and-white kicks dubbed “Don’t Trip.”
It’s a riff on the brand’s Cortez sneaker—an oldie but a goodie. The style was Nike’s very first trainer design, dating back to 1972. The words “Don’t Trip” appear vertically down the laces and Kendrick shared a first look on Instagram last night.
