“Spoke to Meek Mill & he wanted ppl to know regardless of his unjust situation, he’s in good spirits & humbled by the support the people have shown him,” Kapernick revealed on Twitter. “We’ll continue to fight against the harsh sentencing practices that have affected Meek & millions of other POC for generations.”

Mill is currently serving a controversial two to four year sentence for parole violation. The judge in the sentencing has been criticized for a questionable past involving Mill, including a request that he leave Roc Nation and instead sign with a personal friend of hers and giving him unsolicited advice on who should manage his career.

While it was widely reported that Mill was up for a bail hearing, the information turned out to be an “administrative error.”
