What Nobel Prize? Bob Dylan’s Website Removes Mention

The mysterious removal coincides with a divided reaction to his win.

Bob Dylan’s Nobel Prize in Literature earned praise and celebration from fellow musicians like Joan Baez and Bruce Springsteen, but many authors and literary critics were skeptical about the decision.

Though the divided reaction didn’t produce an outright controversy, his unusual selection touched a nerve. Dylan himself has not accepted or acknowledged the prize, but his official website briefly included a line identifying the win alongside promo for The Lyrics: 1961-2012. 

That text has since been removed.

The president of the Swedish Academy told the press that they’ve had trouble getting Dylan on the phone to confirm his attendance to collect the award in person during the annual ceremony.
