With all the beef that’s been ground between The Game and Meek Mill recently, it’s almost hard to remember that The Game is still in, well, the game, and has a new album coming out. The rapper’s eighth album, 1992, drops on October 14, but apparently the wait was too long for The Game (real name Jayceon Terrell Taylor). Last night, (Oct. 6), The Game posted the entire album on his official YouTube channel.

He prefaced the full release with a pair of tracks, “What Your Life Like” and “Grew Up on Wu-Tang.” The former starts with what sounds like a delicate xylophone melody over warbling, high pitch keyboards and a lazy bass line before erupting into a expletive-filled boast. “I done have conversations with Timbo/Passed on a couple Pharrell and Swizz instrumentals/I done wore a two piece tux on Jimmy Kimmel/Then came to the hood and whooped your ass like I was Kimbo,” he raps.

“Grew Up on Wu-Tang” is an homage to one of The Game’s greatest influences and samples a Raekwon verse from “C.R.E.A.M.” Then the Game continues the tribute: “Reciting Method Man while my celly used to just sit there/ N—-s know I been on the Wu before Ric Flair/ Came home through the hood, GS shining/ Now these b—-es think I’m Lex Diamonds,” he raps.
