By Amanda Wicks

The Rolling Stones didn’t just film their trek across South America for an upcoming documentary/concert film, Olé Olé Olé!: A Trip Across Latin America; they also made sure the cameras were rolling when they performed their historic outdoor concert in Havana, Cuba, on March 25th. Fans will finally be able to experience that moment with the upcoming concert film Havana Moon.

When The Rolling Stones took the stage in Havana for the free outdoor concert, they marked the first rock ‘n’ roll band to perform such an event in the country’s history. Organizers expected hundreds of thousands to show up for the free show, but over one million people turned out. A concertgoer said of the show, “Simply fantastic – this is a moment I have been dreaming about for a really long time. I have just witnessed the most important concert in Cuba because this is The Rolling Stones.”

After debuting one night in movie theaters on September 23rd, the two hour concert will soon be available to purchase on DVD and Blu-ray with accompanying CD and vinyl formats on November 11th. Paul Dugdale directed Havana Moon.
