Bey's birthday weekend recap—highs (seeing Bill Clinton) and lows (postponing a New Jersey show).

By Hayden Wright

Most of Beyoncé’s Lemonade visual album has been carefully guarded behind HBO and Tidal paywalls, and reserved for fans who purchased the disruptive video themselves. Now—in addition to “Sorry” and “Formation”—Bey has released the full, high-quality video for “Hold Up” on YouTube. “Hold Up” was a visual standout from Lemonade, featuring a cast of indie collaborators like Father John Misty and Vampire Weekend’s Ezra Koenig.

The release is a treat following a Labor Day weekend that doubled as Beyoncé’s birthday celebration. On Sunday—the day she turned 35—Beyoncé joined husband Jay Z at Philadelphia’s Made in America Festival, and rubbed elbows with Bill Clinton. The ex-president and hip-hop royalty chatted in a shady, plush voter registration tent.

But the weekend wasn’t entirely celebratory for Beyoncé fans. The singer got back to business on Monday when reps announced she will postpone tomorrow’s New Jersey stop of her Formation World Tour due to necessary vocal rest. Though the date has yet to be rescheduled, ticket holders will see Bey at a later date in tip-top shape.
