UPDATE 3:15PM PT (8/30/16)
After what was being called a “stand-off” Chris Brown finally exited his home to meet with officers, reports CBS Los Angeles.
Chris Brown allegedly threatened a woman with a gun this morning (August 30) in Tarzana, California.
Police responded to an emergency call from a woman at 3 a.m. Police confirmed to CBS Los Angeles that they are in the process of investigating an incident at the rapper’s home, but did not state whether Brown was the only suspect at the moment.
According to TMZ, Brown was entertaining guests, including Ray J, at his home when three people—two women and a man—reportedly entered. Although the man was invited, the two women were not and were asked to leave. When they didn’t leave at Brown’s request, he allegedly threatened them with a gun.
Ray J has since left Brown’s domicile and was released after being handcuffed initially. His car will remain in police custody as evidence.
Brown has not answered the door at police’s request nor has he left his home. TMZ reports that the SWAT Team has been activated and the LAPD are attempting to obtain a search warrant.
Brown posted three videos to his official Instagram account, bemoaning what he feels is police harassment and a double standard as well. While he does not specifically address the gun threat, he does generally disavow any wrongdoing, emphatically maintaining his innocence.
