Japanese-French fashion label Kenzo snagged Carrie Brownstein to write and direct a new short film starring Sonic Youth’s Kim Gordon, Natasha Lyonne, Rowan Blanchard and others.

The Portlandia actress and Sleater-Kinney musician wrote The Realest Real as a “humorous exploration of the fickle and instant world of the internet.” Kenzo released a trailer for the project, which looks like spunky, kinetic and (of course) stylish side gig for Brownstein and company.
