Kesha will test-run a residency in Las Vegas this summer with three nights at the Wynn, reports Billboard. As she continues her legal battle against producer Dr. Luke and his Kemosabe Records, Sin City is the latest venue to welcome her gifts (and catalog of hits) into the fold.
Vegas residencies have come a long way since out-to-pasture acts used them as a lucrative form of retirement. With Britney Spears, Mariah Carey, Jennifer Lopez and enduring tentpole Celine Dion on the strip, women in pop have made the Vegas residency a cushy, sought-after gig for artists at the top of their game.
Kesha’s residency begins June 23 and follows her rapturously received Bob Dylan cover at the Billboard Music Awards. On the Vegas stage, Kesha will reportedly perform her own hits.
