Is it possible for a lip sync cover to act like a giant broom and sweep away a viral story about getting put in a choke hold at Coachella? Maybe!
That’s exactly what Justin Bieber may be hoping for with his fun, goofy home video of him and his friends singing the undeniable recent Carly Rae Jepsen single, “I Really Like You.” You may remember Bieber doing a similar project for Jepsen’s first big hit, “Call Me Maybe,” back in 2012, and this time he has recruited Kendall Jenner, Ariana Grande, and others to make just about the most likable thing Bieber has offered up in a long while.
Highlights include Bieber walking like an Egyptian, lots of Grande blown kisses, and Jenner receiving the “I’m pregnant” line from Bieber. Most of all, the clip proves that the music of Carly Rae Jepsen can fix just about anything, even a video clip of a famous pop star getting bounced out of America’s premier music festival.
