Jimmy Fallon’s popular lip sync sketch has come to Spike TV. Lip Sync Battle pegs two stars against each other and challenges each to “out sync and out psych their opponent.”
The first episode aired yesterday (April 2) and had Fallon battle with Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson” while host LL Cool J looked on.
Fallon kicked off the show with his jaw-dropping performance of Madonna‘s “Like a Prayer.” The comedian and late night host acted out the song to an energetic audience, which involved him donning a choir robe toward the end of the song before a full choir came out to help him lip sync the end.
Fallon was convinced he knocked it out of the park and egged The Rock on at the end of his performance, certain that he would win the championship belt at the end of the evening.
“See that belt right there? It’s not going home with you,” Fallon said.
Meanwhile, The Rock entertained the crowd dressing up like John Travolta in Saturday Night Fever while lip syncing to the Bee Gees‘ “Stayin’ Alive,” complete with dancers and that iconic choreography. Watch it all unfold above.
The show also has shared a clip of The Rock lip synching to Taylor Swift‘s “Shake It Off” complete with his own dance moves.
