Throwing back a few drinks with friends while watching the 50th Annual Academy of Country Music Awards, hosted by Luke Bryan and Blake Shelton? That’s our kind of night.

But this year, in honor of the award show turning the big 5-0, don’t just drink a beer, throw back a few finely crafted cocktails in honor of your favorite country artists.

We here at headed over to Lot 5 in Brooklyn with our friendly bartender and comedian Francesca Day to whip up five special concoctions for the Single Record of the Year nominees—Miranda Lambert, Dierks Bentley, Florida Georgia Line, Lee Brice and Kenny Chesney—which we’ve dubbed The Drinkies. Heck of a name, we know.

These five drinks range from a pretty in pink cocktail with a surprising kick to a bro-tastic punch perfect for spring break. There’s a truly American concoction that tastes a bit like suntan lotion (in a good way) and a fool-proof way of getting drunk on a plane or anywhere else you’d like.

And below, we have a recipe for a beer cocktail that will have you dancing like no one’s watching, inspired by Lee Brice’s “I Don’t Dance.”

So drink responsibly and may the best song win when the ACMs air April 19 at 8 p.m. EST on CBS.

7 oz Champagne
1 oz Campari Liqueur
1.5 oz Guinness or Other Stout
Black Cherry

This liquid refreshment is perfect for any member of the drinking class who has two left feet and thinks cocktails are just too frou-frou. This concoction ends up looking like you’re drinking a champagne glass full of beer. A glass that’s strong enough to leave you spinning around in circles—on the dancefloor, of course.

Pour champagne into an 8 oz coup glass until it’s 2/3 to 3/4 full. Add the Campari. Let the drink sit until the bubbles die down.

Next, you’ll have to float the stout. This next step is where things may get a little tricky and definitely a little messy. But, don’t worry, it’ll be no messier than the first time you tried slow dancing. Hold a spoon face down, and pour the Guinness slowly over the spoon until the glass is full.

This twist on a Black Velvet will have you in the palm of its hand. And yes, once you’re done drinking it, you’ll be dancing whether you want to or not.

The 50th ACM Awards air Sunday, April 19 at 8 p.m. EST on CBS.
