Leonard Cohen isn’t letting up with old age, not that anyone expected him to.
To celebrate his birthday month next month, Cohen will give the world his own gift by releasing his newest album Popular Problems, Consequence of Sound reports.
The album, Cohen’s 13th and first since 2012’s Old Ideas, coincides with Cohen’s 80th birthday on Sept. 21. An official release date for the album is not yet known, but according to Rolling Stone, it’s planned for the end of September, having been confirmed at a Cohen fan convention in Dublin, Ireland.
It was added that, despite a new album, no tour plans to support it have been made as of August.
Cohen’s Old Ideas, out January 2012, was critically acclaimed and hit No. 3 on the Billboard 200 upon its release.
