Listen To Failure’s ‘Come Crashing’ – First New Music Since 1996

 By Scott T. Sterling

Revitalized alt-rock heroes Failure have released a new song, “Come Crashing,” the first new music from the revered power trio since 1996 when the band released the revered full-length, Fantastic Planet.

The newly recorded track is taken from Tree of Stars, a special tour-only EP that also includes live versions of fan favorites “Let It Drip,” “Frogs,” Sergeant Politeness” and “Heliotropic.”

“Come Crashing” is available for purchase digitally via Failure’s BandCamp page.

Members of Failure talked about their rapturously received return during an exclusive interview with, where they discussed creating new music, as well as making amends for the band’s abrupt dissolution at the end of the ’90s.

“When we came out it was all about grunge and Pearl Jam and Nirvana and I think our sound didn’t check all the boxes for grunge so it was a bit of a problem,” singer Ken Andrews said in regards to the band’s original run. “That’s why this whole thing feels good for us now. It didn’t end well for us in the ‘90s. We never felt like the album got the recognition, we had drug problems, the label was ambivalent.” Watch the full video interview here.

Failure is currently on a North American tour, with upcoming dates in Seattle (5/18), Chicago (5/22) and Detroit (5/25). The tour is currently slated to wrap up on June 15 in San Diego, CA.
