The hotel from where the footage of Solange and Jay Z fighting in an elevator was caught on camera has decried the leak of the video and has begun a subsequent investigation.

According to CBS New York, representatives at the Standard Hotel said that they were “shocked and disappointed” at the “clear breach of our security system,” saying that the leak of the clip violates the confidentiality the hotel offers its guests.

“We are investigating with the utmost urgency the circumstances surrounding the situation and, as is our customary practice, will discipline and prosecute the individuals involved to our fullest capacity,” the hotel added.

The video from the Standard Hotel’s elevator made its rounds throughout the Internet on Monday (May 12). It shows Jay Z, Beyoncé and sister Solange getting into an elevator at the 2014 Met Gala. Solange appears to get in an argument with her brother-in-law, which comes to swats of her arm and kicks before being restrained. Initially, a one-minute clip was uploaded, but a longer, three-minute version has since been revealed.

No party in the incident has made an official statement on the matter. However, Jay Z and Beyonce didn’t let the swarm of attention deter them from attending the Brooklyn Nets basketball game at Barclays Center Monday night, as the couple often does.

Meanwhile, Solange may have made a bit more of a statement against what happened, albeit silently. According to Jezebel, all but one picture of her sister on her Instagram has disappeared.

That photo features the sisters and frequent collaborator Melina Matsoukas. However, all others appear to be gone.
