Petition to Deport Justin Bieber Now Eligible for Response from Obama Administration

Justin Bieber’s legal troubles have led some very angry Americans to band together in hopes of getting him kicked out of the country for good.

A petition on—created six days ago—asks President Obama to revoke the Canadian pop star’s green card for “threatening the safety of our people” and being “a terrible influence on our nation’s youth.”

The petition, plainly titled “Deport Justin Bieber and revoke his green card,” ends by making their intentions extremely clear with a nod from the U.S. Constitution thrown in for good measure: “We the people would like to remove Justin Bieber from our society.”

While the document might seem like a practical joke, the petition has passed the 100,000-signature mark required to get an official response from the Obama administration, earning a total of 108,346 signatures at the time of publication.

But the Beliebers are not a fan group who would take this unjust motion to deport their favorite pop star lying down. So they’ve countered with their own petition.

The “Stop Justin Bieber from getting deported. He is a human being and he makes mistakes. He does not deserve this” petition, created on Jan. 25, currently has 1,631 signatures. The pro-Bieber petition still needs a total of 98, 369 signatures, before the 30-day deadline on Feb. 24, to be eligible for a response from the Obama Administration.

As we all anxiously wait to see whether President Obama lets Bieber stay in America, which The Washington Times reports could take “weeks, months or even years before, back in the world of reality, the pop star is set to be arraigned this upcoming Valentine’s Day on charges of DUI, resisting arrest and driving with an expired license.

Last week, Bieber was arrested, along with his friend Khalil Amir Sharieff, in Miami after he was pulled over for drag racing and driving under the influence.

The Biebz is also slated to release a video for his new song “Confident” featuring Chance the Rapper some time this week.
