Jason Aldean 2014 ‘Burn It Down’ Tour To Hit 50 Cities Starting May 1

Baseball stadiums are again among the venues Aldean will play this year.

The wheels are still warm after last year’s epic Night Train trek, but already Jason Aldean is gearing up for another massive tour this year.

Update: Tour stops have now been announced, see the list below.

During an appearance this morning (Jan. 9) on Good Morning America, Aldean announced his Burn It Down Tour, which will pick up where his 2013 Night Train Tour left off — but move the operation to a larger scale, hitting a wide range  of amphitheaters and baseball parks.

Aldean played some historic baseball stadiums last year, but this year he’s moving even further in that direction.

“We partnered up with Major League Baseball for a new tour,” Aldean said during his Good Morning America appearance. “We’re going to [play] a bunch of stadiums this year.” Aldean said tour would encompass about 50 shows, and he’s also got some solid support. “We’ve got Florida Georgia Line and Tyler Farr going out with us, so it’s going to be a big year.”

This afternoon, Aldean also revealed details on which cities the tour would hit (see the list below). He also announced names of the baseball stadiums he will play in. These include Nationals Park (Washington, D.C.), Citizens Bank Park (Philadelphia, Penn.), PNC Park (Pittsburgh, Penn.) and Great American Ball Park (Cincinnati, Ohio).

The Burn It Down Tour will kick off May 1 in Roanoke, Virginia and continue on to roughly 50 cities (see the full list below).

Fans can purchase tickets beginning Jan. 24 for select cities as part of tour promoter Live Nation’s Country Megaticket. Additional ticketing information — including further venues and specific dates for each show — will be available in the coming weeks on Aldean’s website.

“It’s no secret that I grew up dreaming of playing baseball stadiums,” said Aldean. “I thought it would be as a first baseman, but playing them as a musician is just as sweet! We’re going to crank this thing up to 11, bring along our buddies Florida Georgia Line and Tyler Farr and put on the biggest and best show we can. My goal is that when the last song is over, and you’re walking back to the parking lot, you’re already on your phone searching to find the next show.”

After the tour announcement on GMA, Aldean then launched into a performance of his current single “When She Says Baby.” The song appears on his 2012 release Night Tain, which is currently nominated for a  GRAMMY for Best Country Album.
