On Monday (Dec, 16), the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences released the longlist of nominees for this year’s award for Best Original Song and it’s filled with its fair share of big named pop stars and one comedian.

The 75 songs vying for a nomination include Ed Sheeran‘s “I See Fire” from The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug
, the Yeah Yeah Yeahs Karen O for “The Moon Song” from Spike Jonze’s Her and Jay Z’s “100$ Bill” from The Great Gatsby. The xx, Florence and the Machine, Fergie, Q-Tip and Lana Del Rey also made the list for their contribution to the Jay Z-produced soundtrack.

Though Beyoncé didn’t earn a nod for her song from The Great Gatsby — it wasn’t eligible since it was a cover of Amy Winehouse’s “Back to Black” — she did manage to earn a spot on the list for the song “Rise Up” from the animated movie Epic.

Other artists who made the list include M83 for the Tom Cruise sci-fi flick OblivionJennifer Hudson for both Black Nativity and Winnie Mandela, Pharrell for Despicable Me 2, Alicia Keys for The Inevitable Defeat of Mister & Pete and Colbie Caillat for her duet with Gavin DeGraw from the Nicholas Sparks movie, Safe Haven.

Sirvana, the super group of Paul McCartney and the remaining members of recent Rock Hall inductees NirvanaDave Grohl and Chris Novoselic — also made the list with their song “Cut Me Some Slack” from Grohl’s documentary, Sound City.

Coldplay earned a spot on the list with their song “Atlas” from The Hunger Games, which is nominated for Best Original Song at the Golden Globes, up against the likes of Justin TimberlakeTaylor Swift, U2, and Idina Menzel. The latter three also made the Oscar longlist.

The most surprising name to see on the list was Will Ferrell, who could earn a nomination with his song “Doby” from Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues.

Last year’s Oscar for Best Original Song went to Adele for “Skyfall” from the Bond film of the same name.

To be nominated for a Best Original Song Oscar, the song  must consist of words and music that are original and written specifically for the film. The song — both lyrics and melody — must be used somewhere in the film or as the first music cue in the end credits.

Oscar nominations will be announced on Jan. 16, with the awards being handed out on March 2.
