Josh Homme has his fingers in many pies, as it were. In addition to playing with rock supergroups Them Crooked Vultures and Eagles of Death Metal, he’s currently fronting the marvelous second coming of Queens of the Stone Age, who have been nominated for three GRAMMYs this year, including Best Rock Album for …Like Clockwork and Best Rock Performance for their song “My God Is The Sun.”

He found kinship in Anthony Bourdain, who, like Homme, possesses a similar sordid past and a nonstop work ethic. The two met in Europe and quickly became drinking buddies. Bourdain even featured Homme on an episode of his famous culinary-travel show, No ReservationsPrime rib was discussed at length.

For this installation of GRAMMY Gourmet, we spoke with Homme about his relationship with Bourdain, his favorite thing to cook (sorry folks, the recipe’s secret), and advice for all those aspiring chefs out there. Watch the interview above.

Tune in to the 56th Annual GRAMMY Awards on January 26 (8 p.m. EST, CBS) to see if Homme and Queens take home any golden phonographs.
