Roseland Ballroom in New York City is set to close its doors spring 2014, but not before it gets a proper goodbye from Lady Gaga.
This morning (Nov. 19), Gaga announced that she will play the venue’s final shows, kicking off a 4-day residency on March 28–her 28th birthday–with the remaining three performances taking place on March 30-31 and April 2. These are the first official dates Gaga has announced since releasing her most recent album, ARTPOP, last week.
Mother Monster promises these special performances will offer a intimate setting for her to bring ARTPOP to life and celebrate the iconic venue before it shut its doors for good.
Roseland Ballroom opened in Philadelphia back in 1917 before moving to New York two years later. It originally opened at 51st and Broadway but moved to 239 W. 52nd Street after the original building was torn down. It has been in its current location, a former skating rink, since 1958.
Tickets for Gaga’s farewell performances at Roseland Ballroom go on sale Monday, Nov. 25 at 10 am ET.
