Kip Moore is inviting fans to preview the lead single from his forthcoming sophomore album. The Springsteen-esque “Young Love” recalls a long lost romance where Moore wasn’t quite his girlfriend’s parents’ favorite.
“Your daddy thought I was wrong for you/ Thinking back your mom did too/ But two wrongs never felt so right,” his familiar gruff vocals sing at the track’s start.
“This song is about being in love so much that the rest of the world doesn’t matter, it is just about those two people,” he said in a press release. “Especially being young, everyone else might not take it as seriously as you are feeling it. I think most people have been there and we wanted to tell that story.”
Fans can unlock Moore’s new single via his website by using the #younglove to preview the track and be entered for a VIP flyaway to Nashville to see him perform live.

“Young Love” follows the success of Moore’s three previous consecutive No. 1 singles, “Hey Pretty Girl,” “Somethin’ Bout A Truck,” and “Beer Money,” all from his debut 2012 release Up All Night. The new track was written with longtime friends Dan Couch and Weston Davis.
In an interview with Radio.com earlier this year, Moore said the followup to his debut album, Up All Night, will be “completely different.”
“I can’t wait for people to hear what’s coming next,” he said. “It’s still going to fit in me and what I do but it’s going to be so different than this first record because my life is different. That was what I was experiencing at that one time, things like ‘Crazy One More Time’ and ‘Up All Night.’ This next one is going to be a different kind of thing because my life has changed a lot.”
