Kanye West and Miley Cyrus notwithstanding, the pop culture landscape is currently dominated by all things EDM and “Breaking Bad”-related. Thanks to an ambitious new dance track featuring Breaking Bad star Aaron Paul, those seemingly disparate worlds have collided in one BPM-powered explosion.
The high-energy tune was created by producers Tom Neville and Zen Freeman, who recruited Paul to proclaim the song’s title at dramatic moments between the beats. Loaded with squelchy synthesizers and a driving rhythm, “Dance Bitch” (due for official release on Sept. 30) will sound right at home mixed into DJ sets at Vegas super-clubs.
Breaking Bad mania is reaching critical mass, with the series’ wildly anticipated finale scheduled to bring the story of Walter White and company to what’s expected to be an wrenching conclusion this weekend (Sept. 29). So while Paul’s character Jesse Pinkman deals with being a tortured meth-cooking slave to psycho neo-Nazis, fans can release the tension by twirling around to this song.
Oddly enough, “Dance Bitch” is not the first dance song to utilize Paul’s character saying “bitch.” Electro act Trentino recently dropped the tune “Jesse Pinkman (Bitch),” which is loaded with samples of the show’s beleaguered Pinkman uttering his notorious Breaking Bad catchphrase.
