For Mother’s Day, musicians and actors share their love for their mothers to raise awareness about issues surrounding girls and women empowerment. As you might have guessed, celebrities love their mothers as much as the rest of us.
Beyoncé, John Legend, Cameron Diaz, Blake Lively, Ziggy Marley, Olivia Wilde and Hafsat Abiola have partnered with Chime For Change, a global campaign founded by Gucci to raise funds and awareness for girls’ and women’s empowerment. Chime For Change serves “to convene, unite and strengthen the voices speaking out for girls and women around the world,” the non-profit website states.
Additionally, Chime For Change collects and shares powerful stories about girls and women and distributes them to the world.
In the latest video, just in time for Mother’s Day, Beyoncé and Lively rave about their own mom’s.
“Her gift is finding the best qualities in every human being,” Beyoncé said.
“To me she’s the greatest celebrity I’ve ever met,” Lively adds.
“Happy Mother’s Day to all the moms who inspire us,” the video states. “Chime for Change. This Mother’s Day, I chime for you.”
