David Guetta & Co. ‘Play Hard’ With Robots, Pancakes & Miss America In New Video
After releasing three teasers, David Guetta revealed the music video for “Play Hard” featuring Akon and Ne-Yo. The third single off Guetta’s Nothing But the Beat 2.0., the trio join forces on the track and in the video, all the while proving that they know how to have a good time.
Ne-Yo took to Twitter to describe the clip as “Strange…but fly!” and his words couldn’t be more true.

At the video’s start, two men venture into a back alleyway and hand over a stack of cash for some magical boots. As the boots are delivered to their new owner at a party house, a girl is shown in the corner of the house dancing as if she’s possessed with plenty of popping and locking. As men play card games throughout the mansion, Ne-Yo is shown doing something a little more innocent: eating pancakes.
Meanwhile, Guetta gets inked and manages to leave his mark on one tattoo artist, writing his name on his back with a magic marker as another artist is tattooing him.
But that’s not all. Futuristic robots, a rodeo, a blinged-out kid winning a dance-off and what looks to be Miss America contestants all flesh out the video, which was filmed in Mexico. Watch below.
As Alice Deejay’s hit “Better Off Alone” is sampled in the background, one thing is clear: Guetta has more fun partying with his friends.
