Jay-Z held a lucrative fundraiser for President Barack Obama; Young Jeezy dedicated two songs in the honor of the first African-American president. Now The Game has put some skin in the praise Obama game by getting a tattoo of the president’s face across his stomach.
The Obama tattoo takes up prime real estate on Game’s heavily inked flesh, beneath a his ode to N.W.A. tattoo. The pres’ portrait is in black ink with the word “COMPTON,” a shout out to Game’s hometown, scrolled in bold letter beneath the president’s image.
As previously reported by CBS Local, after President Obama’s first debate with Mitt Romney took place in October, Game weighed in on the president’s lackluster performance.
“I’ve seen the debate: words were fumbled, certain topics weren’t covered correctly,” he said. “But he’s Obama. He probably was listening to Jay-Z before he got up there and was a little bit in the zone and couldn’t get it together. But I love Obama he got my vote still.”
To be sure, Obama has bragged in the past that he has Jay-Z in his iPad and the the two have enjoyed a cozy relationship during this election cycle. The rap mogul and his pop star wife, Beyonce, hosted a $40,000 per plate fundraiser in September for the president.
While The Game joked that Jay threw Obama off his debate game, he acknowledged that there was little Obama could have done wrong to lose his vote.
“Let me tell you something, Obama could have comeoout and said his A-B-Cs in the debate and he would have gotten my vote,” he said. “I like Obama, he’s cool he got swag and that’s my president. Mitt Romney is a Republican. I’m not down with anything they stand for. Not to diss anybody else’s beliefs and what their vote is but I like Obama. He can’t do me no wrong.”
While the tattoo artist Carlos Maceda inked Obama on Game, he also scrolled a portrait of Game on a super fan of the rapper. For him, one good tat deserves another.
