Miley Cyrus is all grown up. The 20-year-old star is in the process of recording her fourth studio album and has talked about working with everyone from Mary J. Blige to Pharrell Williams and Hit-Boy. This week she took to Twitter to let her fans know she’s deep in the recording process and even hinted at what’s in store, while E! Online reported she just signed with Britney Spears’ manager Larry Rudolph.
We’re not quite sure what Cyrus has cooked up, but here are five things we’d like her to consider while recording her album.
1. Showcase her stripped-down approach
Cyrus wowed the music world with her impressive cover of Bob Dylan’s “You Gonna Make Me Lonesome When You Go.” Not to mention, she’s an avid fan of Bon Iver and has been finding inspiration from Jeff Buckley. Why not channel all of this into her next record?

2. No more pop music
Please, Miley do shut us up.
my new music is gonna shut everyone up.

3. Be true to her country roots
“I really didn’t want to make a hip-hop record, and I’m not trying at all to be a Rihanna or a Nicki [Minaj]….That’s not my vibe,” she told Cosmopolitan.
So, why not make an authentic country record instead? Cyrus showed off her country abilities in a cover of “Jolene” last year and we haven’t been able to forget it.
4. …Or duet with a rapper
Cyrus has been hanging out with Lil Kim and Tiffany Foxx and retweeting Lil Wayne, and we can’t but help wonder what a duet with a rapper would be like.

5. Address the rumors
Michael Jackson brought us “Billie Jean.” Justin Bieber followed suit with “Maria.” While she doesn’t have anyone claiming she’s the mother of their children (that’d be one rumor we’ve never heard), there surely have been quite a few rumors swirling in the press about her personal life. So why not silence the haters in some way?
I am so sick of La. And sick of the lies that come with it. I didn’t call off my wedding. Taking a break from social media. #draining
