Joe Nichols, Jake Owen, Uncle Kracker, Craig Morgan, Phil Vassar, and Aaron Lewis are among the artists announced today playing the 31st annual WYCD Downtown Hoedown in Detroit.
The three-day festival takes place May 31-June 2 at Comerica Park in downtown Detroit, Michigan. In an interview with WYCD about his headlining spot, Joe Nichols said he was “very excited” about the gig. He’s played it before, but never as a headliner. But as he said, either way “the crowd is amazing.”
Additional artists include Parmalee, Drake White, Maggie Rose, Blackberry Smoke, and Casey James (see the full lineup).
Tickets for all three days are an incredibly reasonable $30, and they go on sale Friday morning.
Downtown Hoedown has a long history in Detroit. The first festival took place in 1983 and included Hank Williams, Jr., Mel Tillis, and Tanya Tucker. Last year, Hoedown featured Miranda Lambert, Dierks Bentley, and Hunter Hayes.
