Justin Bieber has come a long way since he was discovered by his manager Scooter Braun in 2008. He turns 19 today and to celebrate, here are our 19 favorite things about the Biebs. Happy birthday, Justin!

1. “Baby”

His first two singles “One Time” and “One Less Lonely Girl” introduced the Biebs to the world, but it wasn’t until this 2010 release featuring Ludacris that his star power lit up the world. It was hard to go anywhere without hearing this track on the radio.

2. He’s a prankster

Justin Bieber is probably the only one who can punk Taylor Swift and get away with it. On an episode of Punk’d, he left Taylor in tears when she launched a firecracker that set a boat on fire.

3. Twitter

It’s like you’re inside his head and on tour with him 24/7. And if you’re lucky, he’ll even respond to your Tweet!

He modeled his tour after MJ himself.

“The whole concept is there’s going to be some magic involved,” he said. “I’m not going to be doing magic tricks but some magician type of stuff. If you look back at some of Michael [Jackson]‘s tours he used a lot of magician type stuff like appearing and disappearing. You’re never going to know where I am.”
