OneRepublic are back and tearing it up with their single “If I Lose Myself.” With a new album, Native, scheduled for release on March 26  (check out a preview if you can’t wait to hear it!) we got the guys into our hot seat for a game of What’s That Song?

They did not disappoint — out of three songs they easily guessed all three. But did we make it too easy on them?

Johnny Cash “Ring of Fire”

“I love it,” say frontman Ryan Tedder. “I’ve always loved that song. I think that horns in popular music, as a rule, generally are kind of polarizing. That’s one of the songs where it works.”

Nicki Minaj “Super Bass”

Who wouldn’t know this one immediately? Guitarist Zach Filkins identified it because his young song is apparently a fan — insisting he play it again and again again again. Filkins says he now knows it’s not a bad track.

The Rolling Stones “Satisfaction”

From the opening cowbell, the guys were rocking to this well known song. Tedder shared a cool tale of meeting Keith Richards at the studio — and he confirms Richards “looks every bit and acts every bit how you think he would act.”
