Carly Rae Jepsen just released the music video for her catchy new single “Tonight I’m Getting Over You.”
The video follows Jepsen and her not-quite-boyfriend around as she tries her hardest to get over him. “Don’t you share your smile with anyone else but me,” she sings. “We’re not lovers, but more than friends.”
The club beat is not a major departure for the singer and embodies the fun vibe of her last single, “This Kiss.”
Co-written by Jepsen with Lukas Hilbert, Max Martin, Clarence Coffee Jr, Shiloh and Katerina Loules, Jepsen said this is a song she’s passionate about.
And music isn’t the only thing Jepsen is endorsing these days. She is the latest celebrity face for güd, a natural brand from Burt’s Bees. The “Call Me Maybe” singer said she loves the brand because it’s not tested on animals.
“I love these products because I can count on them,” she said. “I know they’re natural and I know they’re good for me.”
In the advertisement Jepsen is found in a red painted shower wearing a red bikini top and tutu. While it’s not her typical wardrobe choice, she said the familiar location is where she gets most of her writing done.
“In actuality I write a lot of music when I’m in the shower and I am one of those people who annoyingly sings every morning,” she said. “So, it was fun to play that in real life and get on in there with my shower head and sing some songs.”
Expect to see much more from the singer in May when the commercials for güd air.
