Just a day after postponing four shows in Chicago, Detroit, and Ontario, Canada, word has come down that Lady Gaga will cancel the rest of her world tour due to health issues.
“The remainder of the Lady Gaga Born This Way Ball performances have been cancelled,” said tour operator Live Nation in a statement sent to Radio.com.
“After additional tests this morning to review the severity of the issue, it has been determined that Lady Gaga has a labral tear of the right hip. She will need surgery to repair the problem, followed by strict down time to recover. This unfortunately, will force her to cancel the tour so she can heal,” the statement read further.
Refunds will be made available at the point of purchase starting on Thursday, February 14th.
Earlier this week, Lady Gaga announced that she is postponing four upcoming concerts on her Born This Way Ball Tour. The postponement is due to a previous show injury that has caused her constant joint pain. Although her pain has persisted, Gaga has hid the issue and continued to perform for the love of her fans.
Gaga recently told fans on Twitter that her injury has gotten worse.
I’ve been hiding a show injury and chronic pain for sometime now, over the past month it has worsened. I’ve been praying it would heal

Mother Monster’s doctor has diagnosed her with synovitis, which is inflammation of the joints, and has asked her to postpone a few shows.
The announcement was made via Twitter to her 35 million followers.

All four shows will be rescheduled, but in the meantime Gaga is heartbroken to have to disappoint her fans and is hoping for a quick recovery.
It will hopefully heal as soon as possible, I hate this. I hate this so much. I love you and Im sorry.
